On PEI reports of invasive plants, insects, diseases and animals are recorded using EDDMapS (Early Detection and Distribution Mapping System). This system allows us to have a rapid response to new invaders. Submissions are verified by our team and then made accessible to the public on maps. This system is also a management tool that allows us to update when a site has been managed.
